s the door smashed open, Engra reacted. Not even bothering to use magic, he shoved the man he'd been arguing with backwards, then called his power into play.
With a forceful motion of his hand, he slammed the intruder backwards on a wave of air, out into the hall. It was a moment before he recognised who it was. The woman from his vision, the murderer of his brother, the outcast Shenmiri...
Why had she come after him? Or was it the other man she was after? Engra didn't expect he would have a chance to ask now...

omeone was walking over. She could hear the footfalls getting closer and closer, and then the person stopped right next to her and, from the rustling of cloth, crouched down beside her. Fear twisting painfully in her chest, she stuffed a fist into her mouth, to stop her sobs and slowly raised tear-filled eyes to look at the person next to her, even as she pulled back, trying to meld herself into the wall. It was a man, crouched very close to her. But he made not attempt to touch her. Blinking at him, still unsure how much of a threat the man was, she realised that he was speaking to her. He had a nice voice- soft and gentle, she thought, as she fixed him with huge, suspicious eyes, unconsciously no longer trying to pull herself into the wall. Frowning slightly, she forced her thoughts onto his words, trying to understand what the man with the nice voice was trying to tell her.
" Keleos and I will not let any harm come to you."
" Keleos!" She cried delightedly. " Where? Here? Keleos here? Not gone?" she questioned, uncurling slightly and moving more closely to the man, though she quickly pulled back the hand that had been about to pluck at his sleeve as she pushed him for information. The room didn't seem quite so scary now. And she felt relief flooding through her. Keloes was nice. and safe. And here! She wasn't gone! A little smile broke out on her face as she thought about the friendly woman and the fact that she hadn't left, even though she' d drifted for a while and had caused so much trouble. Swallowing on the rest of her tears, Elexa promised herself that she was be less trouble and she wouldn't drift again. Wouldn't take any chances of Keleos going away, as she had been so afraid she had. But she was still here! she reminded herself with tremendously pleasure at the thought, her fear starting to dispel slightly.
" Who you?" she asked of the man with the nice voice, who'd given her such good news. If he was a friend of Keleos, which he was judging from what he'd said and knowing where she was, then he must be a nice man. And he did have a very kind voice. Looking up at him still nervously, she ventured a small smile.

revor felt breathless, his heart pounding as Azari moved closer. She was so lovely. His mouth was dry as a bone and his hands shook slightly. Ever closer she drew until they were inches apart. She suddenly kissed him passionately, her lips warm and wet. Very wet. And his face felt oddly sticky and he noticed Azari's breath smelled.
Slowly he regained consciousness and discovered it was not Azari kissing him. Her lovely face transformed from human to horse. With an oath Trevor fully woke to his horse licking his face. He cuffed him angrily and sat up, feeling foolish and hoping nobody had seen what was happening. He gathered his wits and stood stiffly. He looked about, his eyes falling on the spot where Azari should have been. He realized with a stab of fear that she was no longer there. He ran over and looked around the area, hoping she had gotten up and was waiting for him to fix breakfast. He noted that all her belongings were gone, indicating that she had indeed left the camp. He examined the ground and saw tracks that lead from the camp into the woods. He ran back to his horse and threw his saddle on him. As he hurriedly cinched the saddle and threw on his bags he observed Selene and Tiel involved in a hushed conversation. He was tempted to ask them if they had seen where Azari went, but he held his tongue. No doubt Selene would point him in the wrong direction just to get even with him for the imagined slight. He decided to trust his tracking ability instead. The knight mounted his horse and trotted him over to the two females. "I will be back soon. I must find Azari. She may be in trouble." he said quickly. With a wave he set off after the missing girl, hoping she wasn’t too far ahead of him.
After riding for a couple of hours Trevor caught sight of a figure on the trail ahead. He strained to catch a closer look, hoping it was Azari. He recognized Jetta and with a shout he urged his nearly exhausted stallion to a gallop. "Azari! Wait! It’s me, Trevor. Please stop!" She turned and looked back at him, reining Jetta to a halt. The young knight finally drew abreast of Azari. He just sat for a moment, drinking in her beauty and catching his breath. "Where are you going and why did you leave? Have I offended you?" he asked.

elene watched Trevor go with an angry little snort. Figures he'd not even notice her readiness to leave! It was his fault if he wanted to chase after the other, she'd go her own way. She turned to Tiel, her face set in a grim, determined little line. "Tiel, I'm leaving. I just wanted to let you know that if you wanted to come with me it'd be welcome, but I don't want to make you leave that man if you don't want to."
Starstruck shoved his nose into her hand, and she patted him idly. Something had changed; the horse was now docile, and affectionate. She supposed he must feel sorry for leaving her to be mobbed like that. She shrugged, mounting as elegantly as she'd been taught (except for the fact that she had a bit of trouble getting her leg over the stallion's back)...

iel nodded to Trevor. 'But we won't be here when you get back, Ser Knight.'
Selene turned to her, her mouth set in a grim line. "Tiel, I'm leaving. I just wanted to let you know that if you wanted to come with me it'd be welcome, but I don't want to make you leave that man if you don't want to." She didn't sound happy.
A small smile crossed Tiel's midnight face as Selene tried to mount Starstruck. She moved to help her, but Selene was already mounted.
"I'll follow, Lady Selene." 'You'll need the protection,' she added silently. "But I'll remain hidden. Ruffians aren't going to stop with just a Felana as an escort, but if you seem alone and they attack and I come out of the woodwork, they'll think twice." She bowed to Selene, listening for her response.

elene smiled her thanks to Tiel. "I trust your judgement Tiel, and I think that would be agood idea." She nodded. "Let's go now, before he comes back. I don't want to have to explain myself to him and his high and mighty routine."
Selene kicked Starstruck into movement, turning slightly in her saddle to figure out where she was headed. "Tiel, where's the nearest town? Preferably one with an inn with baths that doesn't have wyverns in it." She sighed
She rode with her head slightly down, letting her horse take her where he would, deep in her thoughts, to the point that she didn't even hear the voices echoing down through the path to her horse's ears.
