he glared at him, a strand of her dark brown hair falling over her eyes, stormy and dark. "Amazing.." She remarked, running one hand through her chestnut curls, trying to brush them into some semblance of order. "You actually stopped drooling over your drunken friend to take notice there are two other people here." She snorted, by now very pissed off and very tired. She didn't like Azari, didn't like being alone and definitely didn't like being ignored.
She shoved him away from her, muttering, "I'd rather smell like horse than smell like a drunk. And as for you, I'd rather freeze than be company to such despicable behavior."
She pulled her blanket more tightly around her, trying to ignore the chill that settled around her, ignoring the fact she was homesick, lonely, and tired, not to mention having an aftershock from almost being eaten by the wyvern. She looked miserable, she was miserable, and it'd been a miserable day. She was starting to doubt her wisdom in running away.
'I should give up on my dreams.. I'll never make it. Maybe I should just marry the stupid man and get over with it..' This thought only depressed her further, and she barely contained her tears.

he good innkeeper has found rooms for us four, and his boy will see to our steeds, m'hara. I assumed that you and young Lexa would not wish to be separated? hence I have obtained three rooms for us four, that your unconscious companion can recuperate in comfort. What of the elf, did he follow you down? If so, my coin will stretch to a room for him also."
Keleos sighed faintly, shaking her head. "No, he's gone. To look for his sister, I suppose. Three rooms will do." Muranog was right enough about her desire to keep Elexa near. In their current situation, she didn't want to chance a repeat of the incident in Ansleigh.
Besides which, she chafed at the idea of being in any more debt to the other Shenmiri than she had to. "I can't pay you back just yet, " she told him quietly, "but once I get a chance to send for the rest of my equipment, I'll see to it."
That lead to another chain of thought. (...Damn it. I'd intended to head for the nearest city in Torrigan and wait there for my things. Doesn't look like I'll be able to do that now. I'll have to work something out--I bloody well want my armor, if nothing else.)
Food and sleep came first on the agenda, though. And... "We'll want to work out some sort of plan," she mused, half to herself. "At least try to figure out what's going on."

uranog shrugged. "Your word is good enough for me. It is only coin, after all."
Taking the keys from the innkeeper - who flinched and let go as if they were suddenly red-hot - he kept one for himself and offered the other two to Keleos. "One for you and your companion, and one for our unconscious comrade here. Let us get him upstairs now..."

revor felt wrath burn in his chest at Selene’s harsh words. His face assumed an equally angry visage as he struggled with words he knew he must not enunciate in his present state. He spat out, despite his best efforts. "Why you ungrateful little...! Just you remember who saved you from the wyvern! I could have been killed along with you. I guess that falls under despicable behavior, now doesn’t it? Maybe I should have let him have you for dinner!" He stood up abruptly and stalked off, throwing a last parting shot over his shoulder, "And I wasn’t drooling!"
'Women!' he thought angrily. He kicked a log that lay in his path, venting his frustrations. He was tired of the pampered girl’s attitude and her whining. If only he had stayed home one more day! His eyes fell on Azari’s slumbering form and he stopped that thought cold. Drunk or not she was lovely indeed. The remembrance of the look she had favored him with earlier deflated his rage and replaced it with a feeling of anticipation and excitement. He licked his lips nervously and realizing what he was doing, he chuckled softly. Perhaps he was drooling. What red-blooded man wouldn’t?
With a toss of his head he sought out his own bedroll. As he was about to curl up he caught Tiel gazing at him in amusement. He sat up with a start as he remembered the deer. With an oath he cast the blanket off and set about skinning the deer. He spoke quietly to Tiel, "I suppose you find this all rather amusing." He smiled and shook his head, "I guess you’d be right. I just have this way with women, you see." He laughed quietly.

elene curled up, balling her fists in Starstruck's mane, choking back a sob. She wouldn't let HIM hear her cry. So she turned her back to him, burying her face in the horse's side, and let her tears flow, refusing to make any sound. Cold and miserable, she watched the dawn slowly, so slowly come, unable to sleep.
She made up her mind; she was leaving, as soon as there was enough light to see. She had her horse, a bedroll.. She'd find someone to tell her where the nearest tavern was.. From there? From there she'd take it a day at a time.
Miserable, she almost cried out in relief when she noticed the first vestiges of light streak through the sky. She rose, glancing around. She grabbed the few things she found that were hers, shoving them into the saddlebags. As quietly as she could she struggled the saddle onto her stallion's back. For once the horse didn't try and enrage her at every turn. Somehow she managed to get the bridle and other "tack" on the horse, pulling the saddlebags up with her. She spared a glance around her, and then with a small sigh, crept over to Tiel.
"Tiel.." She whispered. "Tiel, wake up, please..." She shook Tiel gently, hoping she'd be able to wake Tiel up but no one else.

iel watched Trevor, vaguely amused. He seemed to be completely sober now, despite his recent inebriation.
"Only a little," she said very quietly, almost too quietly to hear. "But you must remember, Ser Knight, Lady Selene seems a noble, and unused to people, eh, how would I put it..." she paused, "She's not used to people being so rough after courtly manners."
Tiel smiled at Trevor. "She's getting exposed to the world now, though, through her own designs, whether she intended to or not. Good night, Ser," she said low and bedded to sleep.
** Not enough sleeping hours pass for ANY cat to be satisfied **
Hearing rustling in her unconcious mind, Tiel drifted quickly to wakeness without moving. "Tiel," Selene's voice whispered shortly, "Tiel, wake up, please."
Tiel's eyes slitted open and focused immediately on Selene. She pricked her pointed ears forward and tilted her head in question. "Yes, Lady?"
